  • Research focuses on poultry diseases, particularly herpes viruses and cancer.
  • Developed techniques to create poultry herpes virus vaccines in the early 1990s.  These vaccines are now commercially available.  Morgan holds four poultry vaccine patents.
  • Works in DNA and RNA sequencing.
  • Has specialized knowledge of Marek's disease, a highly contagious chicken disease that has caused substantial revenue losses in the poultry industry.
