  • Research focuses on committed romantic relationships. Laurenceau's work examines marriage, newlyweds, couples therapy and divorce.
  • A clinical psychologist, Laurenceau is currently conducting research on couples coping with cancer. He monitors the daily lives of women dealing with breast cancer and their partners, through the use of electronic diaries.
  • Other research interests include psychotherapy and the applying statistics to assess change and change processes.
